# Globalisation of Open Banking

### Open Finance is a new era for banking and finance. Implementations are localised at the moment but cross-border and cross-sector interoperability is visible on the horizon. Taking advantage of international policymakers, regulators, and open banking innovators in town for Open Banking Expo, this side-event the day before Open Banking Expo focused on the importance of  policy and standards harmonisation. Discussions covered:

   ● Establishing global standards and best practices for open banking implementation  
   ● Addressing regulatory challenges and promoting a level playing field across different  
       jurisdictions  
   ● Identifying emerging trends and opportunities for innovation in the open finance space  
   ● Enhancing consumer protection and financial inclusion through open banking initiatives  
   ● Building strong partnerships and networks among key players in the industry
